Educate lawmakers
Contact your legislators to urge support of conscience-protecting legislation.
While emails and letters can be helpful, the most effective forms of communication with a Member of Congress are a personal visit or phone call. Simply call your legislator's local or national office and ask to make a five-minute appointment with either the Member of Congress or the staff member who works on health issues. Whether you visit in person or call, you can relay the following information--by handing it out during your visit or emailing it after your phone call:
